What Actually Helps

The most practical starting point is a structured elimination trial. Remove all dairy — including milk, cheese, yogurt, butter, and whey protein — for a minimum of three to four weeks, then reintroduce slowly and monitor your body’s response.

This is not about permanent restriction for everyone. Some people will notice zero difference, which is useful information in itself. Others will find that their energy improves, their skin clears, and their digestion settles significantly.

If you do reduce dairy, prioritise calcium from alternative sources. Leafy greens like kale and bok choy, fortified plant milks, almonds, sardines, and tofu are all strong options that do not carry the same inflammatory risk for sensitive individuals.
